Theisen, who'll be showcasing his latest internet-fomercial sensation - the most handy-dandy all-around helpful tool, the Handjob. Check out the hilarious promotional videos at www.ineedahandjob.com.

Space Dress
Light years away from the ordinary shift, this knit mini dress lends a look-at-me futuristic edge with its straight-across, cut-throat neckline and extended shoulders. It was a hit at last month's Unique Los Angeles show! Offered in various fabrics from cozy zig zag sweater to retro tapestry floral doubleknit, how can you not find one you like? Available in sizes S (4/6) and M (8). $68
Brown Chevron Pocket Skirt
The Chevron Pocket Skirts have been a customer favorite - and now there's one in brown too! With accents in bright purple and look-at-me yellow, it's a color combo sure to make a statement. Other colors include Teal with moss green & fuchsia insets, and Navy with rust & turquoise. All size S (fits 2/4/6). $85
"Moonflower" X Cubed Skirt
Added to the repertoire this week is a new combo of my mathematics-inspired X Cubed Skirt. (The yoke follows the same line as x to the third power on a graph.) The new version features a navy-natural-black printed yoke with mini flowers and moons, paired with navy pleats. Also be sure to check out the "Monster Molecules" and "Thisle" combos. All size S (fits 4/6). $54

Other Musings & Announcements
E.P.I.C. stands for Echo Park Independent Co-op!
One of my lifetime dreams is almost fulfilled... some of my creations being sold in a store! Echo Park Independent Co-op, brainchild of the amazing duo Tristan Scott and Rhianon Jones, will be opening its doors at the Jensen Rec Center building in Echo Park very very soon. I can't wait - featuring independent and local designers, the shop will be a veritable mecca for those who want only the most unique garments, accessories, and home decor. As soon as I hear an official opening date (and I'm sure they'll have a kick-ass opening party!), I'll pass it on.
Conan
My own viewing of Conan O'Brien as host of the Tonight Show was admittedly sparse during his 7-month run, only because I didn't expect it to end so soon. But I watched intently as he made his farewell speech on Friday and was very moved. I wanted to pass on some of his words, which I found have really resonated with me and I think everyone should hear:
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard, and you're kind, amazing things will happen."
He's right! Cheers, Conan. You can read the full speech here.
Love & happiness,
Michelle
